Odylia Therapeutics Announces Partnership with Smith Kingsmore Syndrome Foundation

Atlanta, GA — September 17, 2024

Odylia Therapeutics is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Smith Kingsmore Syndrome Foundation (SKSF), a nonprofit whose mission is to improve the lives of all people impacted by Smith-Kingsmore syndrome by accelerating research and connecting our global community. Through this partnership, Odylia will provide scientific and strategic guidance regarding the current state of research and clinical progress towards treatments for people with this syndrome. Odylia’s work will enable SKSF to deploy their resources to effectively seek out new and better treatments, as well as develop short- and long-term research strategies.

Smith-Kingsmore Syndrome (SKS) impacts the digestive, endocrine, metabolic and nervous systems. Symptoms can include brain overgrowth, intellectual disability, autism, hypotonia, and epilepsy among others. Not all patients will have all symptoms but among patients there is a common experience of circadian rhythm disruption that affects sleep, temperature control, eating, and more. Currently, there is no cure or treatment approved specifically to treat SKS. Treatment and management are based on an individual’s specific symptoms.
